But We Still Have the Better Team!!

That is all I heard last week on Hokie radio!!  "But we still have the better team"..."Boise St. got lucky".  Blah blah blah blah blahhhhhh.  Well WHATDYA SAY NOW CHOKIES!!   How bout JMU!!   An FCS football team took down your wonderful Chokies!!  

Where is that triple threat running game that was all the hype before the season.  Little Dog Sports Crap was 100% sure that the Chokies were National Championship bound..   then they lost to BSU......THEN they were sure that VT would be a 1 loss team and if only one team finished undefeated that VT would be atop the 1 loss teams and make it to the big game..   which still would not have even remotely happened IMO..   lots of wishful thinking by the Chokie fans.

Now they have choked another game to JMU!!   WOWWW guys.  Not even your savior Bud Foster and his genius defensive scheming could save you this time.  ....And whatever happened to BEAMER BALL!!!  When was the last time you guys even came close to making an amazing special teams play??  *crickets*......Nothing?. No one?.....(waiting) *crickets*.

If I 've said it once I've said it 100 million times.  The VT CHokies are consistently one of the most overrated teams in the nation.  Beamer MUST be giving reach arounds to reporters for some of the hype that his teams get.  Every time they are ranked high...they come sliding down the slippery slope of reality only to crash on their tail feathers....only to claim..   BUT WE STILL HAVE THE BETTER TEAM!    Well...  Go ask the Washington Redskins about having the better team on paper and how many Super Bowls that has gotten them to.  I'll give you a hint..   It's the same number of National Championships VT will be winning this year!  ZERO!

Annndd.....what did you think was going to happen?

So.. as I sit at work Tuesday after 4 days off of work.. trying to digest the first full weekend of college football.. a few things come to mind.


Virginia Tech did exactly what VT does!  They play a good game, keep it close, and always come up short in the end.  They are 1-26 vs top 5 teams and 1-10 against top 5 teams since 2000.  


VT's O-line and D-line need work.


When will Frank Beamer start getting heat for not being able to win the big game.  Most everyone within a 100 mile radius of Blacksburg is a big time VT Beamer "balls" sucking homer and can't see past his awww shucks aura.  Yes he has led a consistent program, no trouble....that we know about, they've won a lot of meaningless bowls, .....but when will the media turn and start calling him out.  1-3 in BCS bowls Frankie..  get it together!  


I'm tired of VT being in the "National Championship" talk on ESPN every year and then choking like  a Freshman at her first frat party after a sixer of Bacardi Berry, stumbling around complaining about mommy and daddy not giving her enough hugs and then sword swallowing the whole lot of frat boys standing in line like a pack of wild hyenas trying to gang bang her.  She wakes up the next day feeling taken advantage of thinking... OMG I shouldn't have been at that party....  Well VT.. you shouldn't have been at the party!  


I love the Chokies..   they give this blog life!!
